The big platforms work fine for the predictable parts of a trip. A chain hotel is a commodity with enforced standards, and review-based trust handles it well enough. Where that breaks down is the small independent operator - where photos flatter, reviews are thin or gamed, and nobody has actually checked. That is the only place we add anything. So we send you to the regulated channels for flights and beds, and we earn a commission if you book through them.
